Sea Shepherd Netherlands and Bont voor Dieren (Fur for Animals) have joint forces to raise awareness and to inform the public about the annual seal slaughter in Namibia. Every year more than 80.00 seals are slaughtered in a tourist area in Namibia.
“Gideon en het vergeten zeehondje” (“Gideon and the forgotten seal pup”) tells the story of a boy and his grandpa on holiday in Namibia, and coincidentally witnessing the seal slaughter. The booklet’s illustrations can be used as post cards. Text and illustrations by Geert Vons.
